Welcome to Leevalon(“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Leevalon, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
Leevalon is a personal check-in and notification tool designed to help people living alone notify designated emergency contacts when prolonged inactivity is detected.
Important: Leevalon is not an emergency service, medical device, healthcare provider, or life-saving system. It does not replace emergency services (such as police, ambulance, or fire services).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
- All information you provide is accurate and up to date
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Provide accurate information (including emergency contact email addresses)
- Keep your device and login credentials secure
- Regularly check in if you wish to avoid notifications being sent
You understand that failure to check in may trigger notifications to your designated contacts.
4. Emergency Contacts
By adding an emergency contact, you confirm that:
- You have obtained explicit permission from that person
- They agree to receive notification emails from the App
- They understand the nature of the notifications
You are solely responsible for the correctness and legality of the contact information you provide.
5. Notifications and Reliability
While we strive for reliability, you acknowledge that:
- Notifications may be delayed, fail, or not be delivered due to technical issues
- Internet connectivity, device settings, email providers, or third-party services may affect delivery
- We do not guarantee real-time or guaranteed notification delivery
6. No Emergency Guarantee
Leevalon:
- Does not monitor vital signs
- Does not detect medical conditions
- Does not automatically contact emergency services
You agree that you are solely responsible for your personal safety and for seeking professional or emergency help when needed.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using the App, you consent to the data handling practices described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Service Availability
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the App (temporarily or permanently)
- Update features, thresholds, or functionality
- Suspend access for maintenance or security reasons
We are not liable for any interruption or discontinuation of the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leevalon and its creators shall not be liable for:
- Any injury, loss, or damage resulting from failure to receive notifications
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Any actions or inactions taken by emergency contacts
Use of the App is at your own risk.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leevalon from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
- Your misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your failure to obtain consent from emergency contacts
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if:
- You violate these Terms
- We believe continued use poses legal or security risks
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
